IntegrateIT Supports Students Through the Orphan Foundation of America
In October, The IntegrateIT team met up to prepare 50 care packages through a program that sponsors college and trade school students. These are not your everyday college students, however. The program is the Orphan Foundation of America, whose primary mission is to provide opportunities for America's foster youth to pursue their college and post-secondary education, as well as raise awareness of the number of students exiting foster care programs across the country. We loaded up the boxes with all those little things that you'd love to receive from home while off at school - candy, magazines, snacks, supplies, and a letter of encouragement. Not long after sending the packages out, we began receiving emails letters from the students thanking us for our support. One student said, "thank you for taking time out of your day to put together such an awesome care package. It is nice to know that one is being thought about." Another said that "times are hard right now and any help I get is a big help. I enjoyed all of the little snacks they were all some very good treats. Thank you guys so much and i will keep in touch with all the staff and I can't even begin to say how grateful I was when I received the care box." It is wonderful to hear back from these students and know that we are making college life a little more comfortable.

integrateIT's Charitable Contributions Program
Because we understand the importance of supporting our community and charitable causes, we sought the best way to demonstrate our commitment to "make the world a better place than it was before we opened our doors." The result is a Charitable Contributions Program that enables integrateIT employees to select and recommend a charitable cause for the company to support financially. For 2007, we are excited to announce that integrateIT supported the following organizations:The Britt Balser Foundation - The Britt Balser Foundation is dedicated to raising funds to work with doctors and medical centers around the United States who are actively using their medical knowledge, and their resources to find a better cure for Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP).
Homeless Animal Rescue Team (H.A.R.T.) - H.A.R.T. is a no-kill animal rescue/support group, incorporated in 1990, that takes in and re-homes stray, abused and owner give-up dogs and cats.
Orphan Foundation of America - OFA assists orphans and foster youth as they transition from foster care to young adulthood, with particular emphasis on helping them attend college and vocational school.
Susan G. Komen For The Cure - The world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure, we have invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill our promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
Capital Hospice - The mission of Capital Hospice is to improve care for those facing life-limiting illness through direct support of patients and their families, public education and public advocacy.
The V Foundation - The V Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to saving lives by helping to find a cure for cancer. The Foundation seeks to make a difference by generating broad-based support for cancer research and by creating an urgent awareness among all Americans of the importance of the war against cancer.
Make-A-Wish Foundation - Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has given hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions. From their humble beginnings with one boy's wish to be a police officer, they have evolved into an organization that grants a child's wish in the U.S. every 41 minutes.
